|
|
While working with word, sometimes we feel that there is a need to select some text in a vertical manner. But using Shift we can only select a complete row at a time. Now, how can we enable vertical selection.
For example see the below image.
We have created this document using tab spaces between the each word.
Now, Suppose you have requirement to delete the numbers in front at once.
How can you delete them. (Note: These numbers are not created using bullets and numbering so, you can make them on or off.
Then, the only way remaining is deleting one number at a time by going to respective rows.
But there is a undocumented feature available, which allows you to Vertically Select the Text in MS Word.
Here it goes :-
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Click from where you want to start the selection to begin.
Press Alt Key
Drag Mouse to the end of the text till where you want the selection to appear and here you will notice the Vertical Selection is ON.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Now, try again to select some other text while pressing Alt.
Yeps, it's working
VERTICAL SELECTION
This is how you can easily select vertical text in Microsoft Word Documents. |
