Disable Compact disc(CD) Auto Run

Whenever I insert CD in my CD-ROM i got message of Autorun. By clicking the Open button in Autorun message, my PC becomes slow and sometimes get hung.

Can anybody suggest me any tip to disable this function?

Absolutely, there is a tip to disable the CD Autorun. To disable the CD Autorun follow the following steps:

1. Go to Start > Run. then type regedit in the Open box.

2. After that the screen appears as follows:

3. From the left menu navigate the following Registry Keys:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Cdrom after navigating the registry key the following screen appears:

4. Right click Autorun DWORD, click Modify, edit or chane value data to 0 to disable Autorun.

5. Exit Regedit.
