Unable to Open Attachments in Outlook Express

I am unable to open attachments in outlook express.

In my Home PC, I can open any attachment file. But In my office PC I am unable to open the email attachments, they all seems disabled.

Any solution or I have to reformat the office PC ?

By default Outlook Express disables all email attachments to safeguard your pc against any virus infection.

To enable email attachments follow following steps :

1. Open Outlook Express
2. Goto Tools -> Options -> Security Tab
3. Uncheck "Do not allow attachments to be saved or opened that could potentially be a virus", Option.
4. Restart the Outlook Express and its all you have to do.

I had the same problem and found this page on the internet where you can download a small program that fixed the fact that I was unable to open any pps files in emails. It is something to do with missing the word 'open' in the 2003 powerpoint program and using outlook express. It worked for me.
